Too Late or Too Early?

Man, oh man, I wish I had found this web site before Christmas instead of two weeks after. I had so many nieces and nephews to buy presents for that I was stressed to find the kind of quality gifts I wanted them to have but that also fit into my budget. Cheap Wholesale Jewelry.com could have helped me fill all those stockings in a perfect way. I could have satisfied my nieces who wanted toe rings, and body jewelry. I could have gotten the ear rings and necklaces my nephews would have loved. But, now I have a source for all those birthdays that are coming up one after another.

Christmas Celebrations

The congregaiton where I worship does not celebrate Christmas with special worship services or observances. It is very unlikely that December 25th is the birthday of Jesus, it was more apt ot have been some time in the spring. Plus early Christians did not celebrate his birthday, they celbrated His resurrection--every Sunday. That is what we do as well.

Celebrating Christmas

Does the church you attend focus on the birth of Christ on December 25th? I suppose most do, but the congregation where I worship does not. There is no evidence that the early Christians made the birth of Jesus a special event to celebrate. If they had they would likely have celebrated it in March or April, when Jesus was more likely born. Our focus is upon the death and resurrection of Christ as the event that is to be celebrated. And we do that every week, year round.
