NFR Rodeo!
I have attended a lot of sporting events and concerts and such in the Greater Houston area over the years, from All Star games to Bowl Games to Neil Diamond to the World Series. One of the biggest events in Houston is the annual Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. It has the best cowboys competing for huge prize money and impressive livestock on display. When added to a big name music act in concert at each Rodeo performance over a three week period, it is one of the most attractive recreational activities of the year. 
We go to at least one performance each year. Our favorite event is the bull riding, though we enjoy the skills of both the cowboys and the horses in calf roping as well. I was reading to my grandsons about the National Finals Rodeo to be held in Las Vegas in December, 2008. The Finals are the culmination of the 26 City Wrangler Pro Rodeo Tour. The first event is in Odessa, Texas, this coming week. I think I know what would make a good early Christmas present for my grandsons. I will get them and myself NFR Tickets, and let my wife do some shopping in Las Vegas!
