Perseverence

At our congregation, we are entering the ninth month of a proposed six month building expansion and remodeling. We are having to worship in our fellowship hall, whick is too small for all of us to meet together. So we are having two services in the morning. It looks like we will be in this mode for at least two more months, likely longer.  Yesterday I preached on perseverence!

The Best I Can

A life totally consecrated to God sees all of its tasks as God appointed. No personal industry is above or below the dignity of a Christian. It is his desire to do his very best at every endeavor, no matter whether he likes the job or not.

A dedicated Christian teenager makes an effort to be the best student he or she can be. A Christian businessman goes all out to be the best in his field. A Christian schoolteacher will take steps to be the best educator she can become. A preacher strives to be the best proclaimer of the message he can be. It is all a part of living the abundant life.

Colossians 3:17 ”And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.”
