3:16 by Max Lucado

A good friend of mine brought me a copy of Max Lucado's latest book, 3:16. It is a masterful assessment of one of the most popular passages in the entire Bible, John 3:16. Lucado is easy to read while at the same time opening new panoramas in familiar locations. I thoroughly enjoyed the book, but was most intrigued with the words and thoughts Max used in dealing with the time of the temptation of Jesus in the wilderness, following his baptism and preparing him for his ministry. That section alone was worth the time to read the book!

Self Publishing

I have a manuscript for a book that would help youth ministers come up with ideas for retreats and lock-ins, and other such events. I have pitched the manuscript to several publishers. They think the work is good, but that the market is to slim for them to publish it. Self Publishing may be the way I should go. Then I could let AuthorHouse assist me with the steps I need to get the book in print, and to market it!

Browsing Bookstores

I am an avid reader and I love to browse through book stores, even book stores on line. I recently found an online book store called Books On Board.com that carries over 190,000 titles! And Romance Books are not the only genre that the have available. You can find Classics, History, Self Help Books and Thrillers. They offer a wide range of e-books from all major publishers as well as small publishing firms. You can also find audio books to be downloaded. I really enjoy having audio books to listen to as I commute!
