Faith Sense

There are almost always a lot of impressive messages presented to men who attend a men’s retreat. That was the case for us this weekend. There is every possibility that someone may have been sparked to better Christian living. Maybe even lots of somebodies. I hope that is the case. But we will not know for a few days or weeks, by the way things either change for the better, or go on just as always.

Our men’s retreat is always a time of energization for our spiritual lives. We usually also have gerat food and a time of the fellowship. Traditionally several of us play a card game called cutthroat–I won both games this year! A new addition to our activities this weekend was a ping pong table. Several of the guys stayed up till three in the morning trying to determine who was the champion. I was long asleep when the announcement was made!

We had a men’s retreat for the men of our congregation this weekend. We had a guest speaker come and encourage us to Live Like Missionaries. It was a good theme, aimed at making sure we are not just keeping house and simply “Sitting on the Premises”. We had a great turn out and it seemed as though all enjoyed the messages.
