Office Occupancy

WIth my office under plastic sheeting to protect from the dust of the construction going on, I will be working out of our office library until my new office is ready. My actual office will likely be ready for me to move in within a couple of weeks. But the problem will be getting the city to allow partial occupancy in the wing that is not yet complete. I may have to wait a month or more!

Out Of My Office

The remodeling of our building includes a new office space for me in the new wing. This week the entrance into the new wing was cut through the wall of my old office. Everything had to be covered with plastice to protect from the sheet rock dust. I am working in the library now, and will be till the project is complete. It is not pleasant.

New Bathroom

My wife has been having the front bathroom remodeled. The work is almost completed. She had a cabinet maker build and installed. She has been doing the staining and they look very nice. She had recessed lighting installed in the ceiling and new lights installed over new mirrored medicine cabinets. The old ceramic tile walls are being replaced with tileboard and the floors will have new ceramic tile put in tomorrow.

Mildew & Bleach

I got a call from the contractor doing the remodeling work in our bathroom. He wanted me to come home and take a look at something he discovered when he removed the cabinets and vanities that had been there. I had a patch of mildew that I had to kill before he could put in the new cabinets. So I went to work with the bleach and a sponge. It only took a few minutes, but it was gross.

Bathroom Makeover

My bride has come up with a new design for the cabinets and vanities in our main bathroom. She has contracted with a cabinet maker to come in and tear out the old ones and make her imagination a reality. It is surprisingly inexpensive for the project, I was expecting a lot higher cost. But the work begins this morning and makes us a one bath family for the duration of the project. Iknow—I am spoiled!
